I have a Dutch friend who does this now and again....walking through a shopping centre and he sees a lady sitting and looking particularly down, he will buy a bunch of flowers, present them to her and say 'These are for you and have a really wonderful day'...give his best smile and walk away
he says the surprise and happiness just makes his day
likes to give to others, even just a smile or a cheery hello as we walk along
amazing what some cheer can do for another...and the smile that lights up their face
