My next chapter in life and love I think can be realistic, the hardest part is finding some one to rise above the past and look into the future. I have found each time I have gone a date, that the woman across from me was still so wrapped up in talking about her past that it was almost impossible to talk about what she wanted for the future. Even through email, texting and phone it was always the past and how she was treated and belittled by her ex. I really want some one who can put the past behind them, look to our future in love, our firsts, our life, our needs and not the past. Many claim that their baggage is in the closet, but in my limited experience thus far, the baggage is always opened up. We all have a past but need to limit what is allowed to control you when trying to start a new relationship. I want more than anything to have a partner to love, hold and cherish, and I won't give up anytime soon on my dream, but maybe I might be gone from this earth before it happens. I hope not though, being in true love is the greatest thing and has no equal.
PRDreaming: What do you wish the next chapter in your love life be like? Is it a realistic wish?
I don't know if my wish since before 2010 has ever been realistic - I wish to spend a lot of my time in Scotland, America and Canada. I would LOVE, LOVE, Love to find a nice Scottish gentleman who wishes to share those traveling times with me. I am almost ready to retire - so I don't have to become a citizen of Scotland or work there, just wish to have extended visits there spring and summer -
It should not be hard...Maybe it's the respect part at times, or maybe taking the extra time to get to know someone properly ....in a more casual environment at times as well !!! but no i don't see you as demanding at all Nice to see you again Sweet Dandelion

I don't even want to open the book at the moment.
It did change in the last number of years - I was looking to share my life with someone and built up something together, but I have built up a good bit myself and like my life the way it is at the moment.
Maybe in a years time - actually meet someone I really like and have enough in common with to enjoy spending time together and we both would want it to be going somewhere.
