chris27292729: And the Origin or Etymology of the word "Kyrka" comes from?????
The Greek Word kyriakê' oiki'a (does it make sense)
Sweden got many words (connected to the Church)from the Greek and latin languages 1000 years ago, when the missioners came here. I guess we had our viking gods before we got Christianity here.

""" Kyriaki""",it does make sense,as it is the day of rest and prayer. Though i Google ""Kyrka etymology"" and couldn't find anything to lead me,to the origin of the word. Maybe you are better in searching...
By the way Kyriaki=Synday in greek. and Oikia=House,Home.
