sassysuzy: Why do people who are seriously seeking someone post photo's at least 5 years old? Do they think it makes a good first impression when you meet someone in real life and they look so much older? Its a big shock and a complete turn-off.
Don't lie about your age and post an up-to-day pic, there's no excuse these days for not having one in this age of smart phones. I'd rather someone be honest, because to me a very old pic is a form of lying and deceit.
The problem is that CS pictures can be copied and used for other reasons.
Had CS taken a step to prevent photos being copied (which can be done) then I would post more recent and more pictures of myself. I might even post some naked ones.

I don't have a pic uploaded out of choice. I'm not looking let alone 'seriously looking'. Just here for the chat and word games. Very picky who sees my pic. Pardon the pun! But I agree that if you ARE looking that a decent realistic pic uploaded helps! But they can always swap pics privately once you get chatting.
