Fisherman snatched from river bank and eaten by giant Albino-headed crocodile





An albino-headed crocodile named Michael Jackson has been held responsible for killing a man at the Adelaide River on Monday afternoon.

A 57-year-old man was attacked and killed by the crocodile in front of his wife while they were fishing at the river, about 60km east of Darwin.

The unusual crocodile, that was shot and killed, was 'one in a million', a tour operator said.

The man was taken when he got into the water to unsnag his fishing line.

Police and rangers scouring the crocodile-infested river by boat on Monday night shot and killed a 4.5m crocodile around 9.30pm and the man's body was recovered later that night.

His wife was treated by paramedics at the scene for shock.

The Adelaide River is well known for its Jumping Croc tours, where boats travel the river and crocodiles jump for meat attached to hooks.

'Michael Jackson was one in a million, and unfortunately being an albino would have been picked on by all the others, its a big pecking order,' said Rob Marchand, owner of Wallaroo Tours, which runs Jumping Croc cruises across the river from where the man was taken.

When my son was in austraila and visited up north was in Darwin too he would swim every day ...I was always fearful for him because of the crocs , sharks,, he got stung by a jellyfish and had to go to the hospital and luckily it wasn't the killer one,.

Even when he went scuba in the coral reef had to be careful and supervised because a killer snail lurks beneath,,


Anyway about that croc and that man eaten alive its just too horrific to even think about.

I've just read all of the piece about the croc,,,,,the man was attacked and killed,,I actually thought he was eaten alive in front of wife.
Still I wouldn't go anywhere near such waters as to step in it. .


There is a river in South America where fishermen risk their lives to fish and its river is overrun with giant catfish that leap out of the water so many of them and can knock a man from his boat,
One man Who had been with his wife was dragged away by one,

You would look cool in that croc belt ,,find a Nigerian to get you croc shoes ,she might know someone get them for you, .

Then bring her dancing and get her into a night fever,lol.

Wasn't there some woman who bungee jumped over a crocodile infested river and the rope snapped?

Yeah... She deserved to be eaten.

I don't understand people wanting to go fishing in waters that they know have beasts like crocodiles swimming in them. Or this man who tried to feed/touch a tiger and got his arm ripped off. If a zoo has a sign that say's don't touch the animals, don't cross the perimeter fence and don't feed the beast's...Don't.
