Theres a good question, so many varibles...
do you trust them enough to do this "make freinds" online?
Are you obligated by the relationship to tell them that you are doing this..
my only personnal comparision would be my letters i write. I feel what I write to someone else is personnal and it is my choice as to whether I share whats in the letter or not, not an obligation to her.
As for the question do I believe her said intentions???

As long as the other party is informed I see nothing wrong with it. Marriage is based on trust and without it you have nothing.

I wouldn't do it, but if my spouse was into internet friends before we were married, I wouldn't mind her "logging on". Then I can log on her!!

Ah Hah !!!! from just this thread I am seeing that online freinds is real different to you who said NO as compared to real friends???
