I should have explained that this young mother found out when she was pregnant that she had cancer.
Doctors told her to have chemotherapy right now but she said no so as to save complications for the baby.
After the baby was born the cancer had spread so much that chemo wouldn't save her.
I think she was a brave woman. Someday her daughter will learn that her mother made the choice so she (the baby) wouldn't have medical problems if her mother had chemo.
