I do, too, Its. Being single ain't so bad. I guess just being married for all the years made me think I should be with some one. I was single and want to be married. I was married wanted to be single. I want to exist somewhere in between there and guess what? That place is here. :)

Being single should never define someone as a person.
I know many people in relationships that are unhappy, or simply wish they had taken another path. People who wish they had made other choices and instead explored life more before making a commitment.
I do however, take a commitment very seriously. Probably has alot to do with why I'm still single. I've yet to meet someone who places monogomy and commitment on the same level I do.

I want someone who loves me unconditionally. I want to be cared for and understood. I want someone to be supportive of me in my life decisions. I want someone who is not self-centered and selfish. I want someone who can give me what I am willing to give in return. I don't feel like I ask for too much. Sure I want someone fun but what I really want is the things I have described above......fun is in the eye of the beholder.....what I seek and deserve are things I am willing to also give.

I'm single because when I had a triple by-pass my then wife couldn't deal with that. She gave me the boot soon as I was on my feet and back to work. This was ten years ago.
It was a while before I even wanted to get back into a relationship with a woman. And when I decided that I did want someone I had custody of my oldest son who would do everything he could to destroy the relationships I got into. Because of his adhd and disrespect for others I put my life on hold trying to help him. Now that he's 18 and has a decent paying job, I don't have to put up with being told what I can do with myself. Instead of thinking of him I can think about myself.
