Double edged Q.. So yes & no. Would you trust a Lion or Tiger not eating you if you entered it's space? Probably not. But would you trust a dog to find someone trapped in an avalanche or other disaster before a human..Probably yes...

Humans belong to the kingdom Animalia, the same as worms, ants, sardines and frogs. I wouldn't say which is the less trustable.

Sardines taste ok in between hot buttered toast. Frogs (well the legs) taste nice but not much there. Toasted ants taste better than most nuts and worms always look better in a bottle of tequila. Don't know about trusting them but I'd eat most of them. It's all fuel for when the "big one hits'...

Just think Guz, part of your and everyone else's DNA could end up in the belly of an ant. Then the ant is eaten by a frog who is eaten by a bigger frog who is eaten bird who flies to Africa and gets eaten by a chimpanzee... And somewhere along the way all our DNA comes back together in the future.

Definitely. Animals are always honest and true to themselves.
If you "trust" a tiger not to eat you - that's not trust - that's stupidity. A tiger is a tiger, and behaves like a tiger - which means it kills to eat. If you misunderstand its nature - that's not the tiger's fault.
You can trust the tiger to behave like a tiger. You can't trust a human to behave in a civilised, human or humane way - they might, they might not, they might under certain circumstances, or they might if they feel they get a good deal out of it. The human will very likely be second guessing you - the animal won't be.
