Lindzi: Just watched a show where a man had a moment with someone way more attractive than he was and he spent the whole show trying to convince the fit one that they should try having a relationship.
Reminded me of all the times I've done that or the times I've seen my friends break their hearts.
Why do we do it?
for some of the reasons already stated.. and.. sometimes...
it's a way to keep the wounds alive...nothing like trying to have a relationship with someone who's emotionally unavailable, or thinks they are 'settling'...to keep those ol' victim wounds bleeding...
it's about choices.. the more one accepts their own self..the more one likes themselves..and that leads to not choosing or going after relationships that you know down deep, aren't going to work out.
this life is finite...if you're spending your energy on 'chasing' someone...you can choose to spend that energy a lot of other ways. i haven't met anyone i'm interested in that 'is out of my league' although others may believe they are. that's their stuff...not mine...as already stated...everyone has something to bring to the table, stick with the ones that value you.

The world can be so shallow sometimes. I believe that it is only anothers' opinion about whether or not he wasn't as attractive. I am so tired of the world being so shallow about looks. Do you remember the 70's song--"Everybody's Beautiful"?
