lifeisadream: In Denmark for a family of 4.

Like how many months rent and groceries, perhaps an used car + gas + insurance?

Does it matter how many month? Defintely way more than one, which again means saving up the taxpayers' money, right?

lindsyjones: Like I said Capri, if it is in fairness for everyone, why not. If someone has $50,000 EU which is a lot of money, then I would support that idea. If you can check the median of income in that country, and that money is below that then it is fair.

If they don't take that into account then it is truly not fair for those who are below that median. I understand that maybe not all have $50 grand EU but check this out, if they were not asylum seekers, they would have taxed that money, right? Her in the US, you have to declare any excess of $10,000 dollars that you bring in.

If they can show the advantage on both the natives and the seekers, then they should apply. imo.

thumbs up

Exactly Lindsey. The same is here, more than 10.000euros have to be declared. So, the normal citizens would no even be allowed to take so much money across the border, but we know that no laws apply to the current migrants. teddybear

Not sure, will have to check.
It seems to me that Denmark has managed to reduce drastically the number of migrants into their country, and maybe this will just add to it grin

Having made Merkel as the woman of the year, does this mean that the voice of the oppositions from Europe was taken into account? I mean, I kind of feel that this gesture would empower her to think that what she did is very well fitting for the award given her. In other words, she will never see nor realize the negative effect of what she did in Europe.

Fast forward, 30 years, these people will be the dominant ones in the world, according to the PEW reports from Wiki. Meaning they are so fast in populating the world because of high birth rate.

Now if they don't assimilate, and we have proven that many a times, specially with the US born muslim killer of San Bernardino, then imagine what the world will be by then.sad flower

That is outrageous what Time did! I have jsut read an interesting article about Japan vs. Europe - the writer concludes that Japan's choice to have a homogenous and cohesive society instead of facing problems of a multicutural society is not viable for Europe - go figure why????? Nuts world

Meaning, Europe should and must adhere to meet the challenge of a multicultural society? Unlike Japan which worked well for them?

It is oxymoron in a way for me to put this, because as we can see in so short a time as 100 years, there is no other society that will be on this planet other than them..So is he justifying that kind of contention? Considering he is a quantitative analyst, should not just blanket a statement like that without proof as to how it goes well in the projection of the future.

Obviously our states spend a lot more on the immigrants/refugees than on their own citizens:

British old age pensioner - yearly benefit: 6.000 pounds (after paying taxes and contributing to the society for 40 to 60 years.)

Immigrant/refugee - total yearly benefit: 29.900 pounds

Slovenian old age pensioner with a minimum pension receives a bit less than 600 euors (again after 40 years of paying taxes and contributing to the society)

A foreigner with the status of an asyulm seeker (refugee/immigrant) receives a bit less than 900 euros.

Why is this difference in favour of those who have never contributed anything to the host country? What is the situation in your country?

there is a very big difference indeed and I wonder what is the justification of that? Perhaps, the style of living of the refugees is higher than the natives?sad flower

JoyCrest: Not easy to control even the affluent asylum seekers. Even if they

have financial means, they would prefer not to declare, Remember

Allah is the great deceiver! If they are Muslims, they will not

cooperate and hide their economic status!!

Joy that is very sad. I can't respect that and it just proves how trickery these lives they live, if that is true.sad flower sad flower

True that Joy cheers

But at least if/when the authorities find out about the fraud, they can do something about it - confiscate the money or goods or/and expell them from the country.

I believe giving the social benefits for free is the worst we can do sigh

Hi Lindsey wave

I guess their needs are bigger (and more important) frustrated

The other big issue is the health insurance: regular citizens must pay for the insurance, and if they want to cover say dental services, they have to pay even more. These asylum seekers' health insurance covers everything, plus they jump every line if they need surgery or a check up with a specialist. A superior category of people....well it is inline with what their religion says doh

That is sad Capri. I personally feel the injustice for the host citizens of that country. Why not make all the same benefits for everyone then?sad flower

Yes, this is a measure to put less injustice to the natives who can't get those free medical check up and or services that are denied of them without paying first.

Boy not an easy position right now by the government to chose to service the refugees before the needs of the citizens.
