We had a little bit of excitement here late last night.
My 9 year old granddaughter was spening a night with a friend and apparently the mother had scolded her for something or another, enough to get the child quite upset. The two little girls got to talking and schemed to run away. They acted on their implulses and stole away into the night. The mother discovered them missing about 11 c'clock and called the Niagara County Sherriff's.
They did find the girls okay, way up on a lonely country road a few miles down from the house abd brought them back. That stretch of road is very dark, very secluded anfd many terrible things could have happened (ran over, abducted, etc). Needless to say after hugs of relief, they both got smacks on the rear. That was very frightening.
Anyone else have similar experiences?
Be back, I have to drive my daughter to field hockey practice.
You must about crawled out of your skin, hon! Both my kids have tried it. They think they'll teach us a lesson, lol. We cannot love them more than more. Sounds like a last ditch attempt at getting her way... It can be scary with preditors all over. But, everyone did the right thing, and the police got right on it. What is best to hear is that the Mom checked in on them.:)
Yes, I didnt find out about it until I was fast asleep, must have been like one a.m. My daughtercame rushing in-my daughter must not have been contacted until after the fact , which makes me mad.
Children are of such types that they always find new ways to amaze us.
Joanne, yes we all tend to think of the worse case senireo, but the girls are safe,so all the what if's,could have, well they just didn't,and thank God the wee ones are alright.
Joanne, I am glad everything is ok. I remember I was supposed to watch my son once and I feel asleep. A neighbor found him walking the street and gave him to my wife at the time. I wasn't as sleepy at that time.
