Professional help only came in to being half a century ago and rose in the mid 80's due to people looking for less work using the guise of 'helping', it is why people are weak in spirit and mind now, with no help you can use your own internal force and try to overcome things because it's only 'you' know your problem.

Health and safety is there to reduce harm and risk and everything a liberal believes is a substitute for courage. Liberalism is the redundancy of bravery and willpower I thought that was common knowledge.

In earthier times people just weren't allowed to slip that far down through self-indulgence(especially amongst the workers)partly because society couldn't afford losing swathes of people to depression. The right to get depressed was reserved for the decadent aristocracy back in the day.
How people back then managed to hold it together despite life being a lot harder is because life was harder but also warmer. Today's liberal life which is cold yet comforting like a friendly Dalek is driving people over the edge.

Friendly Dalek approach works best for fighting cancer and things like that. The friendly Dalek doesn't wear down the immune system of the body(or at least not by very much). White blood cell counts don't collapse because we're liberal. However, the friendly Dalek does wear down the immune system of the mind. The immune system of the mind - what you might call resolve - is a complex product of man and environment and if you don't use it, you lose it.

The friendly Dalek is also terrible at rearing children. Parents in the field of psychology raise just about the worst children conceivable to mankind. Even when they have decent people genes their nurture creates just about the worst outcome in the kids. I've known kids whose both parents were smackheads with a better sense of right and wrong than those raised by psychologists.
