There r lots of religious people, and not so many non-religious, as people tend to conform to the way they were brought up, and the people who influenced them during their lives.
I believe anyone can believe in whatever, as long as no one or thing r harmed in the process !
Now Astrology is another option to many religious and non-religious people. We all see our star sign on our profiles. Some of us believe in astrology to a certain extent, and others not at all.
I have read up on astrology from a very early age. I was brought up with books, and I was completely stuck on them, and still is, to the extent of studying just about anything I was interested in, and still is. Books in any form, r the source of knowledge, and sadly so many people don't read them on paper / electronically. Obviously experience via word of mouth, r not to be ignored either. In the old days that was the only way to transfer knowledge. They must have had very good memories, or like my son an eidetic memory.
We all have eidetic memories to a certain extent:- Don't u remember most things via pictures that u recall ?

sophiasummer: One must always keep an open mind. How are we all to learn?
Astrology/Astronomy is vey much needed. To gather where we actually are on this planet in relation to how this little earth of ours exists within this magnitude of greater galaxies.
Thanks to many great Men.
Astronomy is a totally different kettle of fish. Sci Fi to the greatest extent, as even tho they explore space, no-one really knows what's going on out there, but at least the wish is there to know, and new items r designed and created by the second to improve that knowledge, but it will still be quite a while before anything like another Earth will be reached, for us poor creatures to move to, and u know why ?

I see no conflict between science and God, astronomy is of course part of science. Science tries to explain our place in the universe with proofs, wheras religion demands a faith with no proof, blind faith, most people these days prefer scientific proof, who knows, in the ens we may prove the existence of a Godlike force.

But science is the best path to the truth.
I have been in science my whole life -->But science is the best path to the truth
There I agree with u totally !!!
And yes they might just find some type of being, that will make us all worship it, but I doubt it, as anyone can logically find anything worth worshiping.

We all tend to forget, that as much as we all strive for proof, that we leave behind the ones that struggle to evolve. History is hope, it lays the foundation,
How can young people learn to survive. When everything is in the "Now"
To understand history of great or mere people that came through shocking times, whether war and hardship.
There is Hope.
. If they are not been given the power of pulling through.

GUZMAN1: Superstition is to religion what astrology is to astronomy the mad daughter of a wise mother. These daughters have too long dominated the earth.
