Mr. Miwagi, I am not sure I can enlighten you as I am not certain I am correct as we are dealing in opinions here, but my opinion, and I believe it is part of the answer, for the American state, would be to start with;
Term limits and age limits on senators, being a senator should be a young mans job, a young man would be less afraid of stepping on toes and more likely to vote the conscience..
NO lobbying groups of any sort, if you want to change things join a political party and work for it
NO private donations for campaigns, all funded by the government to the same amount for any valid political party
All big media broken up and placed under oversight until reporters start being reporters again, and not schills for politicians, this is where 'fact checking' should occur so as to avoid fake news, not at Facebook or whatever.

In another thread I suggested that perhaps English language operating systems (any mind that operates only using English) have been compromised by a linguistic virus, the vector initially was 'political correctness', yes your mind is an organic computer and is subject to all the stuff a laptop is subject to, just has way better software, still..the result is a language that presents a world view at odds with reality thus subjecting people to enourmous levels of cognitive dissonance, which is really a thing and very damaging psychologically, I am working on a book about all this stuff but no one will read it hahahha! So anyway, this is why everything is deteriorating so badly in the west. Asia has definitely shot past the western countries, where life expectancy is now going down and almost everyone is now poor. Funnilly enough, asian languages are more flexible and can deal with reality better because it is not so difficult to achieve a nuanced understanding of things in those languages, English is always forcing you to be definitive. I think this is why it can accommodate a primitive linguistic virus of this nature.

Mr Conrad it totally as to do with draining the swamp, your political problems are fundamental and systemic and are made insolvable for the reason I am discussing. This is deliberate, as well, stuff like that does not happen accidentally, natural language is too chaotic, its engineered, for the reason that,if people cannot see or understand a problem, how can they fix it? This is why the political discourse goes round and round in circles. This is now everyone's business as Trump is bringing back the arms race, and changing your military doctrine as well to allow first strikes in retaliation to anything, even cyber. If Russia launches, the planet will CRACK, we all die. It's like Trump sacking people in public. By doing this he is inviting his people to live vicariously through him creating in his fans a sense of relevance and participation which is a substitute for having any real influence. As long they're the chosen ones in for the ride they don't care much for where the ride takes them, the emotional experience of being taken for a ride. Being played is better than being totally forgotten about and Trump represents for many people their one remaining connection to the outside world, the only person they feel close to and that bond that means more to them than reality ever could(it's like religion). Trump is bigger than Jesus to his fans.
