What an impossible question. With so many fantastic songs to choose from, I couldn’t really name one in particular that stands out a best. They were all best at the time they got released
Some standouts for me would be:
‘Help’ and ‘Ticket to Ride’ from the earlier years - great guitar riffs
‘A Day in the Life’, ‘It’s Getting Better all the Time’ and the title song ‘Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band’ from this world-changing album.
The entire B side medley from the Abbey Road album ..stunning bit of music.
Although it's not of my generation, i know many of the old groups of the Sixties. I would say Dear Prudence, it's a melodious and positive song, i like it.
