Hi there. The old Hippy Trail was the route from Europe to India via Turkey, Iran, Iraq.I got as far as Iran but refused visa. The crack was to get to Goa or Katmandu as cheaply as possible.Some of the old hippies are still there.
Oh yes, thanks Beachcomber, I had a couple friends who did that... they took 6years, of gentle grooving. Now, of course they all respectably settled down with 4 dogs, house and business.
