Flowers - or a message. (29)

What would you say is a better idea, to first introduce yourself to someone on this site. Sending a message - an e-mail I guess - or flowers? I've been here only for a little while, but the idea of sending e-flowers makes me feel a bit dorky. Don't get me wrong, I am a dork. It just seems weird.

Oh yeah, this is my first post. Is it a good one?

hi, yes its a very good post. well, i think, but this is just for me, i prefer the email. i get lots of flowers, but it doesn't really mean to much. i don't know if they want to continue to chat, or was it just a friendly gesture. so if i was you, and you really are interested, spring for the email. lol. hope all works for you.

Welcome and have fun in the sandbox! Hang out and participate in the forums a bit so people start to get a sense of your personality.

And e-mail or flowers? Whatever you are comfortable with ... and it might depend on the situation. It's all good!

Flower's I say. That way it will allow the person to take a look at you and decide if they're interested in you. They'll reply if they are. This way you won't be wasting your time typing out a message.

I just figure a flower is quicker and if the person respond's to a flower, then I'll take the time and write a message. I have been doing it like this since I joined this site and it's worked out good for me!

My experience with the site says flower

I sent a flower to my belle to be to thank her for a kind and encouraging answer on one of my post and it got the ball rolling.

Things progressed to exchanging messages through the CS mail boxes, then on to my belle's personal e-mail.

For one, I am very shy. The flower approach was what was the most comfortable option without "committing" myself.

I sure didn't expect a relationship to blossom from a "simple" flower to say thank you and neither did my belle!

There is "love at first sight", and now, there is "love at first write"! love

Ask rarepearl about it smitten

My two cents

personally i don't like the icon flowers with the stale msgs..

if i get a flower i prefer someone to say something personal

or intriguing...

but i guess it depends on how much u want to get to know

that someone ? to each his own ,,

I have to agree with Sylvain.

I enjoyed receivig flowers and always answer whenever I get a message or flower. But a flower is one way to break the ice. If the other party is interested you will receive a message or flower back from them.

You never know what will happen!! I encourage everyone to start sending flowers to all who catch your eye!

consider yourself fortunate if you get at least 1 flower or 1 e-mail, because it took a little time before I saw a thing in my in-box.

Send a bottle of wine, Dont use the drop down notes that would be bad, sending wine with a message keeps it short and sweet laugh wine

I think flowers are a great way to break the ice. A good start to show someone you liked their profile etc...and also a good way to know if you should proceed further with a message if they answer your flower. Of course it all depends on what they wrote with the flower lol But most likely if someone would like to hear back they will either reply to your flower with another flower or just a message.

Also hello and welcome to the site! Just don't come in here with too many expectations and have fun on the site and then let the rest follow. Keep posting on the forums and its a great way for others to get to know you and by doing so you will get more attention that way.

The best of luck to you on your search!

cheers

an email would be better......

for me personally, if someone sent me a flower.....regardless if I was interested or not, I would reply with a thank you

it does NOT necessarily mean that I AM interested, it just means that I was saying thank you to the person who sent it.....and took time out of their day to do so......

If you are interested, send her a little blurp just saying that....and if she's interested, to let you know, regardless of her answer.....

what's the worse that can happen? getting a "no thanks"......take it, accept it and move on to someone who may just be interested......

and welcome to the posts.........you are gonna meet some amazing people here.......I know I did ! yay yay

Cheers!cheers
