Because Twitter, FB, Google, YouTube call themselves Utilities like the phone company. The phone company doesn't restrict what you say on your phone.
These companies are in reality PUBLISHERS. Therefore like newspapers and other publishers they are liable for the content they eschew. Utilities are not.
This is a great move. Having retired from the media I already know and have been saying in these forums that they are publishers, NOT utilities. Now the FCC can get involved. I LOVE IT!
