PeKaatje: well, are we fooled?
We have soaps that kill bacteries, also the good ones.
The food is healthier, the water from the tap is getting cleaner, we're so busy with hygienic things that our bodies can't have the slightest problem or we'll have huge trouble.
In the mean time they promote unhelthy food in supermarkets, why buy potatoes or rice, meat and vegetables for 10 euro all together when you can buy a complete pizza for 2 euro's?
Look at how many types of chips and cola we have. All unhealthy stuff for a minimum price. If you want to eat a healthy meal in a restaurant, you can pay at least 30 euro's, go to a pizzeria and you hardly pay 10 bucks.
Everybody knows smoking is unhealthy, so our government is rising the price of cigarettes bit by bit, when they make them 3 times more expensive at once, a lot of people can't even afford to smoke. But our government want to get as much money as possible out of the tobacco industry. In the mean time they say our healthcare is to expensive. It's obvious we can't trust our government here in the Netherlands.
I think All Europe is going the same way .. tax smokers , but fast food companies are allowed to trade without health warnings .

blathin: Calculations? lol..no calculations are needed..It's called economies of scale One2note and anyone who's ever had to cook for a family and then just themselves can testify to it being cheaper per head to cook for a family than just oneself...
Yes always cheaper per head to cook for a few people than for just self … on every level... ingredients, power source, effort... which is why even when on our own we cook for at least a couple of meals in one go and save for next meal …

If that’s your theory , then wouldn’t it make more sense to cook a meal for , let’s say 3 & eat for 3 days .

I find that the foods I enjoy most are ones that are best cooked in larger sizes. For example, you really cannot fix pintos except about a gallon (4 liters) or more at a time. No room for the hambone, you see.

Green chile, for stock or stew? You need to do a lot of them, some being hotter than others. So it takes some adjustment in several pots. Then freeze and pull it out according to the tender taste buds of whoever will be eating.

Ever tried making a single serving of Boeuf Bourguignon? Or even for two? Not happening. Even spaghetti or lasagna has to be in large portions.

So I understand why folks, finding themselves newly single or widowed, just give up and buy the single portions ready to go in the markets. Just not for me.

One2note: If you look at alternative milk , they last for much longer !!
If people want to lose weight, they should aim for a calorie deficit. There are no shortcuts .
Heath companies have made a fortune from People’s self doubt. Being Islam is healthy & heathy is slim.
Remember. Food is not your enemy , self doubt is .
I would like to correct the typo error which states that “BEING ISLAM IS HEALTHY “
It should have read “BEING SLIM IS HEALTHY”
Sorry for any confusion. I am & always will be Christian.
