Consume less...
Be creative.
Don't look at it as a punishment but natural way of becoming more sufficient and practical.
I hear people complain and yet still drink and smoke and eat like it's the last day on Earth.
Leave you car and get on the bus, walk...ride a bike.
Business wise I kept my prices unchanged for the last few years and it payed me off with more clients...
I buy my consumables and devices from the producer and not middle man (usually few of them)...
I honestly can't say I felt the higher prices...and I am positive I can deal with whatever comes...
Plus I started a sweet, little business on a side, which is more of a hobby than work...but brings extra money, I can spend purely on nice treats...grin

Take away people drinks and smokes, there will be trouble. Next winter when we are all freezing are bits off, there might be an uprising against these eco loons

Youcannow: I’ve heard that wind power is the new alternative to fossil fuels.
I don’t know the ins & outs of the procedure, but I guess eating more baked beans may help the cause .
Wind power, all I have to is plug you into mains then?

Our government in encouraging us to use transport, yet with all the rising energy bills , it’s still cost efficient for me to drive to work , plus it takes half the time to do so .
I’ve had to up my prices but luckily, I’ve had no complaints thus far ( well at least not to my face)

Asking a female friend or neighbour to bathe together would be a great energy cost effective idea .
I’m not sure if they would agree , but in principle, it would be a good energy efficient idea.

I’m sure he wouldn’t object if you convinced him about the economic benefits behind the scheme.

My ebike has saved me a fair amount of money that would have been spent on fuel for my van. Last month I cycled over 300 miles and drove just 250 miles. I cycled over 100 miles last week, most of it recreational, so I'm getting the health benefits as well.

That would depend if the miles you cycled replaced the miles you would have done in the van

What’s the difference between a ebike & a recreational one ?

An e-bike uses fossil fueled electricity to run. But allows the users to preach about the environment

It's taken away the need to use the van. I would often drive out of town into the Peak District to enjoy the countryside, now I cycle there. I now cycle on the flat or downhill, uphill struggles no longer exist on an ebike.

And why did you use the van in first place? Always seemed strange to me. Driving somewhere to exercise

That would seem strange to me also, if my intention was purely exercise, I'd walk round the block or through the country park on my doorstep.
On my ebike I can get up into the Peak District and enjoy the beautiful countryside. The excercise bit is a bonus.

So you're selfish man then? All about your pleasure, and you having fun. About time you thought of others, and the damage you are doing
