No yet, but I have seen some tempting vacation opportunities coming out of there. So maybe one day and maybe I will find someone to go with me, if not I'll go it alone.

I lived there for about a year back in 89. I lived right behind Samstown.
I went back and got married there in December of 92.
A lot had changed in 4 years. I can't imagine what it's like now.
Hell there are slots or video poker machines in everyplace I went.
Even K. mart..And every gas station in town.

I was there once a long time ago....A bunch of us went for 4 days over Easter week-end and had a blast!!!!
I think 4 days was enough though since by that time none of us could pass a slot machine without shoving a quarter in it...I can really see how people can get addicted!!!!!!
We stayed at Ballies and we even went to the MGM grand theme park before we saturated ourselves in double Margaritas!!!!!!
What a time...Have fun if you plan on going!!!!!!!!!!!!

More and more family type resorts are starting to be build out there, the image is starting to change again. They are promoting it as a place to bring the whole family, saying it is no longer a mom and pop get-a-way, gaming area, or place for a quicky marriage.

Yes I did notice, and I believe that is due to gambling becoming legal in so many other states now.

Ya it was fun for a couple days. Saw Celine Dion there. Other than that, the casino's do nuttin for me after a couple days. Casino's are everywhere.

I went for new years 2001, spent 8 days there. Met some great people. Spent most of my time at the race track and surrounding shops. Ended up on a pit crew for a drag race team for a night. Never imagined drag racing in December! Very coool!
