Just made some....smells good and tastes great...not totally from scratch...but still a comfort food....When I was young Grandma always made some when the snow started to stay....and its here...makes the whole house smell so good...any of you have a comfort food your Grandma made at a special time of year that you hold as tradition?

My adopted Grandmother was raised in India as a missionary. EVerytime we would visit she would make curry. It had meatballs and potatoes and peas....she served it with homemade bread and butter pickles. I have tried to duplicate her recipe but just can't. It will always be my favorite dish.

Egg Nog at X-mas!

Course, the single malt scotch she added was definately "comforting"!
