And it's what known as the law of unintended consequence. What the do-gooders have done is shifted the psychology of the world towards Daily Mail readers.

Perhaps I'm just fortunate to live in a somewhat charmed region. The people here (southern Oregon coast) are generally ready to lend a hand, get someone down on their luck a kick-start, a meal or meals, sometimes a place, etc...it's kind of old fashioned neighborliness around here. Not that I need too much help, but it wouldn't be difficult for me to call just about anyone in the county and get a friendly, helpful boost, for just about anything. I do hear you; many areas are as you say, but this one is really groovy--thank God.

Nope I find the opposite. My family and friends all been working together even more than before.
