For anyone in state or near who cares to drive..Saturday and Sunday is the Gathering of Rogues and Ruffians ren-fest in Baraboo, Wisconsin. It is held on the grounds of Circus World Museum. They have a website so you can see what all it is. I even have a head pic on their FB page of photos. Crown and cowl. Dang I am ugly. lol .It is a big event with knights and ladies, jousting and all the stuff that make a ren-fest. I have always worn a medieval gown which since I portray Queen Liz the first and was pushing the period. This year I figure I will move her to middle age or more and wear the gown I have in profile. There is an overlap often in period clothing so I see the gown I wear as Mary Antoinette will work for the Elizabethan too. I am going to add a button and loop though to pull the train up off the pavement and to stop people standing on my dress. URGGGEE! Temp will be a sunny 58 only. But, with the 25 pounds of fabric in this gown, doubt I will notice it much.
