What's the world coming to..... Sunak takes over the UK and Varadkar due to take over this country next month due to our current arrangement for rotating taoiseach.... Pronounced thaoishok not teesock like Liz Truss used to say which is an Irish word for our prime minister equivalent
Tiger_Moth: It's Diwali and it's the Festival Of Light so it could be a sign of the light at the end of a dark tunnel,so let's hope it's not another train crash.
Up in North of Ireland they ll be wondering if he s a protestant hindu or a catholic one Jeffrey in a tailspin
Sincere apologies for that.... Ok I shall rephrase that to...... How does going into orbit work if ONE thinks that the earth is flat and is 6000 years old?........

He has the overwhelming support of Parliament.Let's hope it all calms down , he reshapes the Government and they all learn to get along for the good of the country.
Time will tell. I must say that the last time we agreed for 5 minutes(lockdown)doubled the chance of a piece of wood smashed into your face - not just for 5 minutes but for the rest of your days. I'd be amazed if we all agree on something that creates a happy future ahead
Anyway what I don't like about Sunak is that you've got Jeremy Hunt up there next to him. I believe that together they're too much of the same thing in a democracy that just voted for Brexit. It's alright being clever but you have to make concessions to the fact you live in a democracy.

Hi Chesney,
Without rocking the boat too much I think there will be a reshuffle within the Cabinet. As an ex Chancellor of the Exchequer I would imagine that Sunak has his own take on things.
It seems that the market has already settled ,but for how long Guess you will never please everyone when it comes to policies but any improvement has to be better than what we have and are witnessing.

Hello Tiger
Well the markets know which side their bread is buttered and to be fair we can't live by disorder. We have to make concessions to the done thing as well even if the market's done thing isn't anywhere near as worthwhile as it should be. Would you trust a crack addicts opinion about crack? And that's what the markers are, addicts.
Anyway you can imagine a year two from now Boris bouncing back saying that the will of the people has been thwarted by the technocrats at Westminster.
Brexit was supposed to be all about taking back control.....ok the country is not in the EU any longer..... Kwasi's budget sent the financial system into a tailspin over there....and ye re out of the EU....there were other financial markets involved in creating this tailspin.....forced a CoE and PM out of office and things are settling down again now that there is a certain CoE and PM in charge and budget has been rowed back on.....so the question has to be was brexit worth all the trouble it caused seeing that there seems to be even less control now over what should be internal financial issues than there was when in the EU... The EU never had such an influence over UK politics as external forces seem to have now

My take on the E.U. was that we could take back control of our own personal management and laws including immigration . Well as we all know that hasn't worked.
We pored millions into other countries and for what.
Financially we haven't fared well in the trade industry so as to what it did achieve leaves a lot of questions unanswered.

Yes he really is thick enough to try and who knows he could succeed, though heaven forbid.

That's the way it was sold but me thinks the voters were sold a pup.... NHS money and big red bus not to mention oven ready deal comes to mind.... Ye er still pouring millions into other countries like India for example.....there might have been something coming back in return from the EU but certainly not from India....except more immigrants.....and by comparison at least the EU immigrants were paying their way and working
