First, I just want to say thank you for all the replys, prayers and well wishes. As we waited for them to come and get him, we all said a prayer over him and then left so they could do the prep. This surgery was to take approximately 3 hours. It took about 4 1/2 hours. This is the most amazing surgical tool I have ever seen. It is Robotal Heart surgery. They did not have to crack his chest open or spread him in any way. The Robot did the actual work while the Dr. did the finger movements from afar. Like it was a virtual game. The anesthetist was by his side, a nurse stood by to hand over or change whatever it is that was needed by the Robot. There was a man on the other side of the room that worked some other controls, a panel. This machine removed the arterie from his heart and took large vein from his leg and replaced it in his heart, then it removed another vein and replaced it with a synthetic arterie. This was all done by a small incision in his rib cage. The third rib from the bottom. While my thoughts were quite willing to find the fear in this type of surgery, ( you know with the Robot malfunctioning and all)I also could see the advantages. This was truly amazing. He came out, and was sent to his room, (not a recovery room), and was able to have visitors in a hour. I did not get to see him though. was called out on a job while he was in surgery. I took the job for sure. I have not worked in almost three weeks! I had to go. I kept burning up the towers though. Thanks again Kat
