This came to me the other day. I think it is original but who can say if I heard it somewhere subconsciously and paid no attention to it? I do know I cannot recall having ever heard it said out loud and those things I usually remember. the slight revelation came to me when I was doing a little bit of writing. As a hobby it is probably the best self taught skill set I discovered lay deep within me. Not that I expect to ever make a dollar out of it. But I never went into this expecting to be the next literary feed bag. I had a story to tell but not for its telling but to get it out of my head so I could put it behind me and mentally forget it ever happened knowing it was all in writing and therefore could never truly be lost in thought. I moved on straight after I finished writing the first draft of that story. Tried editing it about 20 years ago. Then 19. Then 18. Then 15 years ago. I figured it didn't want to be edited and so I gave it the respect it needed and let it be. Now I have moved not just on but it feels like and entirely new reality. Thanks to a slightly over active imagination, that seems to have a mind switch of it own; an on off switch, to protect my real life from my portrayal of a normal person, say like you, who doesn't know the smallest portion of what I know. Or what I have deduced from those meager scraps of knowledge. Most recently I have taken to writing from the perspective of an Alien Life Form not in the least conversant with human educational systems integrated on this world. The first one I imagined came out when I removed Religion from his Society. That was perhaps the most difficult and ultimately the easiest to create. I imagined a highly advanced species of Insect. Then I came to realize there would be no less than two, one with six legs and one with eight, as with what originally occurred on this World. My latest has a back ground story that I could not even begin to get into here. I have a few thousand words and it would require a few hundred thousand to explain fully. Fortunately I wrote that elsewhere just in case something happens to me and I omit actually telling someone in person before I die. The Forth Theory was surprisingly simple once the thought came through. I began to imagine what it might be like to be a Greay. How Theay learn. How Theay communicate. Thear technology. I am not sure if that is how it should be done but for me everything has to be consistent but most of all fit. It helps immensely if I start from a known truth; the shape of Thear head. What Thear eyes look like. What Thear Ship might look like under the camouflage. What Thear might be like as Intelligent Rational Living Beings. Theay do not comprehend time as linear. I can only say that because I imagined a thought pattern where Thear concept of time is not linear as the human understands linear time. This came about when I realized Greay's comprehension of reality must by its very Nature be exponentially greater than ours. Thear technology works. Theay can travel between Solar Systems, maybe between Galaxies. Thear technology works. As a result Theay might well be pondering what, if anything might lay outside of reality? It was along that thought pattern when it occurred to me, if I were a Greay one theory I might consider sound is Our Reality is in fact someone else's Nuclear Reactor on a scale relative to us as we are to a chemical reaction at a subatomic level within a beaker on a counter inside a power generation plant. Think about it, if you can first wrap your mind around the enormity of the concept. Oh yeah. Greay concept of Time. Think of Time as a complete Bubble. Everything that is ever going to happen technically has or will happen within that bubble to where everything is a result of everything within the bubble. Every event happens but not every event alters Time's path instantly as a happenstance of the event's timing. As long as each event happens, their linear order is meaningless. W.
