if they knowingly and blantantly lied like the examples you listed above, the date is over right when you get there.

i have been on a date when the person was not who they said they were, similar situation the girl was older then she told me was not not 5ft 2 and so on....
i was not comfortable i did not want to be rude so when the drinks came i went to the washroom and on my way back i told the bartender to bring the bill in 10 mins and do not offer any more drinks. i cut the date in 30mins and said goodbye and we went each other ways
if i was in your shoes and the guy said he had no money i would have paid and excused myself to go to the washroom and then continued to my car and left.

I have "met" a few of these people...I knew i was never going to see them again...but i'm not brave enough to walk out on a date...

well i pretty much know in the first few minutes. one date he brought his own water to the restraunt as he didnt want to pay or have thiers. i was so embarrassed.
another one lied through his whole profile. he was 55 not 39, he was 5'5" not 5'11", and he was bald not thick blonde hair. and he asked me to buy the drinks cause he gave his last 20 to his daughter.
