As some of you know I'm new to this I want to be patient but I've only got e-mail so far from men who want to talk offCS before I've ee-mailed back. Appreciate your feedback.
Delete them...or go to their profiles and at the bottom of the page see if they post in the forums...read their posts, and if you like how they portray themselves here...email them back through the site...don't give out your private email details till you feel confident enough in the person.
I agree... I mean how hard is it to put a pic up... at least let us know who we are talking to! And I don't mean a pic copied from another website. How lame is that???
hang on...this person has already said they are new...they may be waiting for approval on their photo...I hope that's the case nomindgames...cause it does help both ways..
NMG, if someone contacts you, out of the blue, no prior talking, and they say "Hey I wanna chat with you but not here. Reach me on this messenger, here's my s/n" I'd block the user.
While I haven't seen it here, on plenty of other sites I used to get propositioned by girls somewhere in Africa, who's story as to how they got there seemed really fishy, and as to why they're being "held hostage" there is even more off the hook. Then they want $400 so they can get their stuff together and to come home to you.
If you see anything like this at all, tell the people who run this site, block the user, and keep on pluggin'.
But back to you question... email him back through here and try to start a dialouge. If they don't want to... their loss, not yours, sweetie.
I have had a few emails where the person and I would exchange a few, then he would ask for my phone# or IM. I don't see a problem with that, especialy if it has gone on for a few days or he posts on the board so you know what type of person he is, etc.
But, I had a guy who sent me an email that included his phone, email, etc. He wanted me to email him more pics of me and to call him. I didnt know who this man was, so I did not respond. Then I got another email from him saying that he knows I am online and why did I not respond.
I would keep it here, where it was safe, Nomindgames
I have gotten so many emails from suspicious characters that I am beginning to recognize them right off the bat. Please check out the "scammers" page here on CS. There are internet cafes in Africa where people are paid to sit all day and scam people. They usually don't have a photo in their profile but they get your off-site email and then send you a photo of someone very good looking, and they try to win your trust by saying something about God. They work for a charity or they have a really sad, hard luck story. Don't believe it!!!
