I think there always going to be truth and fiction mixed together , i don't think the news are really ALL the news, makes you wonder how much we're not being told or lied about
I'm not talking about celebrity gossip. I mean, do you think government's have control of the airwaves? Could things be happening in Iraq we have no clue about...because the media tells us otherwise?
Another frightening example is "The Manchurian Canidate"
After watching this movie, the scariest factor was that it was all possible.
all of the above. because it makes for better press, and keeps people coming back for more. speculation abounds therefore keeping the press going, and going and going. kat
Absolutely true...feed the masses what they want to hear....most news corporations are owned by a small number of people who are also large contributers to major political parties....do a little research...it is frightening the power these people hold over the populace, and what information they choose to share...
It goes back to what our grandparents say..."Believe none of what you hear, and only half of what you see." in regards to the media...in all it's forms.
I really think since the times have changed the media, and newspapers are no longer a "public service". Look at back at the pony express days...newspapers didn't have huge advertising quotas they were obligated to. Its no longer the cut and dry/ black and white. Its our "news" according to the highest bidder.
So do you think the media has completely fabricated stories?
I know during the last presidential elections, the week of election day, suddenly our country went into an "Amber Alert" for terriorism. My beliefs> Pure scare tactics...and it worked.

If you do...to what degree????
//I am not talking about the "funny" papers. Like CNN, NBC, ABC\\
