it's great, nene...
since it has an internal hard drive, i don't need a disc to record on. so if i put it on "timeshift", it constantly records, so if i hit pause, the picture stops while it keeps recording what is going on live.
then, when i hit play, it starts playing the recorded stuff...(until you get to a commercial and fast forward it a bit, lol)
coming from the hard drive, it's much faster than trying to read off of the disc, so it's capable of burning a disc at the same time, and recording other shows, as well.
also has some nice features included for making home movies and such. and optional tv guardian, which mutes curse words.

i can literally watch one channel while recording another, at the same time as being able to do timeshift.
timeshift is freaking awesome. i can pause and rewind live tv, and there isn't any subscription or quality differences.
i can play a dvd while recording a favorite show for later...
how did i ever get by without it?
