I just got an interesting...kinda funny...but very embarrassing call from my 12 y/o's teacher. Apparently there was a Valentine on his desk. It said...Even teacher's deserve a Valentines. If you would like to go out, call me. My name signed with a heart.
What my daughter, Ms. Cupid, doesn't know is the teacher and I know each other on a personal (not romantic) level. We have mutual friends and even play poker on a pretty regular basis. We chose to keep this info between us for obvious reasons. He and I got a good laugh but I am not sure what to do with this kid....
She is a good kid, give her a extra hug for effort. Janitors need love too, it is a stable job, they make good money, and are already trained in clean up.
I did the same thing with my teacher when I was 10. Only the outcome was a bit different. My teacher and my mother just celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary.
Reminds me of a story my mom tells when the family is around....I guess my parents had went to conferences with my brothers teacher years ago...and when they left my dad said...."OOOOhhheeeee, I wouldnt kick her outta bed" and something about her legs.....When my brother went to school the next day he told the teacher that she could spend the night and sleep all she wanted...she asked him why and he told her that my dad said he wouldnt kick her out of bed.... I wish I could have been a little birdy that day!!
