Hello all,

I have a very dear friend who found herself as a single mother at a very young age. She is a beatiful girl and has some unreal qualities. To her life is all about cartoons, making lunches and bedtime stories. This girl loves her children more then life itself. The problem is this...

She has been alone now for 3 years and has such issue with the way her body looks post baby that she is way to scared to be with a man. There are guys that think she is god's gift but she cannot get over her fear. She feels that if these men see her stretch marks, and not so perky breasts they will run for the hills.

I have tried to tell her so many times that they are a thing of beauty and signs that she brought 2 wonderful little people into this world. She just cannot seem to grasp that and deal with her appearance.

Any suggestions on how to help her get over the way she is feeling?comfort

i bet she looks fine. She definetly has s self esteem issue and only she will be able to deal with it. Perhpas a course in confidence/personal growth would be beneficial?

I bet she is a peach. Send her my way. I love the look of a natural woman and would take a lady who has had kids over one who hasnt any day.grin cheering

Thanks Pucks.. that's so sweet..

I hope that what you say is the general opinion of most men. I know that it is seen all over TV these model women and theor perfect bodies..Cudos to them but someone whose life has substance doesn't have time to spend 24/7 working on the bod... It's nice to know that there are men out there that appreciate a natural beautyapplause

A stretchmarch is no more serious than a smile line. If it's on someone whom you find attractive, it has no signifigance at all.

When we go to the Dr. we tell ourselves that "he has seen it all before". Well, most men have seen stretchmarks before, and I'm sure it'll be more of an issue for her than it will for any man who enters her life. If it is an issue to him, she's likely well rid of him anyway.

Damn, I'm ranting. .. (backing out slowly)

No Woody.. that's not ranting.. it's a great way to put it. I wish that people were opened minded like that.. you would never hear a guy say no sorry you have too many smile lines.. LOL but a few too many curves is heard way to often..

Thanks baha blushing

I do need to shed a few pounds but its mostly toning I need to do. I just can't wait for the nice weather to hit so I can go speed walking again.

I am also thinking of starting up tae-bo soon.

Maybe that can be an option for your friend. I find its not just a good work out but I find it helps me with energy and mental stability as well. Just a suggestion :o)

Tae-bo is an awesome work-out. It is cardio cardio cardio... If we all took it up we could enter the ladies UFC and take over the belts.. They actually have a fight league for girls you know.. its in the IFC but still fight league none the less... and those girls can kick some serious ace!!!

Hey girl, tell her I totally understand what she is going through.

I had a child at 18 and still have problems with what it did to my body.

and some time it really affects my life, and relationships.
What I did was I went and got some racey photo's taken of me, they look wonderful. ever since then when I when I feel sad , or depressed about my body I just look at the photo's the guy did a great job and made me really feel better about my self.
