because those women have not learned any better. And some seem to get into the cycle of being treated poorly and it can be addictive. They begin to feel like they deserve it.

It's called low self esteem. They don't think much of themselves, so if you like them, there must be something wrong with you. There are women who like themselves and like being treated good.
