I think that the most acurate portrayal of the 'real' Prince Charming I have ever found was played by Rupert Everett in Shrek 2.
Handsome, self absorbed and rude--hahaha.
We ladies have our own personal ideas of what he is once the original Disney induced idea pops like a giant soap bubble...usually as the result of meeting real guys.
Mine would have the heart of a woman and the body of a man. haha
No,jk--I'll tell you when I find him but I can say for sure that this is my grocery list:

1)Kind
2)Honest
3)Trustworthy
4)Smart
5)Funny
6)Attractive (to me)

It also helps to have a 'castle', but this is not necessary. I really am one of those hopeless romantics who would rather be poor and happy in love than rich and miserable.
love

hmmm...the recipe above is somewhat common and this is where the problem lies for some: namely, that they are looking for attributes that they themselves lack.

I've received email from, chatted with and dated women that enjoy my sense of humour yet, are dry and lifeless themselves. Others may like the way I articulate yet have trouble putting a single sentence together.

If one is seeking certain attributes then they had best be prepared to show the same. From what I have seen of her postings here, Kiss this Miss - for example as she posted this list - is qualified to ask for these qualities.

you look
but don't see
you hear
but don't listen.
you feel
but don't touch.
you speak
but no words come out
you listen
to your brain
But not to your heart
Seek, listen, touch, and speak
and you will find
its right in front of you
peace

You may find too that just because some people are looking for funny, kind, honest, attractive and trustworthy people that it doesn't mean that they themselves are lacking in it!
I think that I am all of those things to some degree but there is always room for improvement, just like everyone else.
If you become involved with someone who doesn't share your sense of humor, then perhaps you are with the wrong person.
Perhaps the person you don't find funny will be hilarious and a joy to be around for others.
I think we are all works in progress and have our own special lists of what makes a person right for us.
I think what will make that person "Prince or Princess Charming"--or "right"for you will ultimately be their ability to encourage you to grow into a more well rounded and fulfilled person but not do it for you.
As far as people not being able to see what is "under their noses", I think that it may be true for some. For the majority of us however, I think that not only are we aware, but we have already listened to our instincts and decided that he/she may not be right for us even though they are 'right there'.
I guess we'll know when we know.

Now that makes total sense girl! thumbs up and might i add that maybe we shouldn't set any expectations in the first place? Doesn't the average person have those qualities anyway? Maybe not all of em but at least a few. This is a messed up world we are living in now... so take what you can get and be happy with that. laugh just joking...cool ...Jim :)
