Are you asking about a poster by that name or your asking us to define what is our own prince charming? lol

I assume though you are asking us to define what is a prince charming to us.

For me my personal prince charming would have to be funny, outgoing, caring, honest, loyal, faithful and romantic. Someone who is respectful and appreciative and of course since I have children. It is a must that they love children and will respect the fact that they take up some of my time.

as a guy, I wouldn't want someone to think I'm a prince charming...someone who is perfect, sweep them off their feet and take them away to my castle. No one is perfect and if someone expects someone else to be perfect they will always, always be disappointed.

I kind of agree. I think you have to know that no one is perfect .. people are going to disappoint you .. but I think there can be someone perfect for you.. it doesn't mean they never make mistakes or disappoint you..it just means that they are right for you.

As for not high expectations ... I don't believe in settling ..

I think there is a difference between having expectations and not settling. I have high expectations of who I am with, but not who I meet. If I meet someone from here, let's say, I will give them every opportunity to show me who they really are. I don't expect them to be the one right off the bad, I don't believe in first impressions. Nerves, bad days always get in the way. People have many facets to them that if they need to be given a chance to show more of themselves. Sometimes you'll find out they are even better than you thought, sometimes they fall to meet expectations.

You're right, there is a difference between expectations and not settling.. in expectations of others, I meant my partner. I meant specifically their characteristics..the kind of person they are..their values etc.. I should have been more clear :)

When I meet someone that I don't know, I give ample opportunity to get to know someone .. I do believe in following my instincts though .. even though there are many things that can get in the way of first impressions .. I've learned through my own experiences that when I don't follow my first gut instinct... it leads to disaster ..

MissJ, I quite agree...sometimes the gut instinct is too strong. And usually it's right, especially when it says "Stay away". I think it comes from when we were cavemen (and women) and we didn't always know what would harm us. Today I think it can be even harder to tell what or who can hurt us. It's sad, but I think it makes someone who treat us so wonderfully an even greater person.

Only exists in fairy tales. If you're talking real life now, intelligence, a funny bone and a warm heart work. If he leaves the toilet seat up all the time, it could be a coin toss.
