Any distraction while driving is dangerous...... talking on the mobile phone, smoking, changing CD's and Tapes. A vehicle is a Lethal Weapon and should be handled with extreme caution, because it can endanger innocent people who are trying their best to not harm others.

But, mobile phones being as essential in business today as they are, one cannot just turn them off on a trip. Perhaps the Powers that Be could direct their energies to providing "Pull-Off Zones" for chatting on phones?.... otherwise people are just going to carry on chattting anyway.

I was sitting in Court one day, and a lady was defending herself on a traffic violation charge. She had apparently not stopped at a Stop Sign. Her excuse was that she was trying to insert a Tampon!

So maybe Tampons should be included along with Mobile Phones?doh

i dont think hands free mobile phones shouldn't be banned...it seems like the world today is made up counting on constant "presence".
When you are in a traffic jam,you can bennefit from it so you wont loose your business for instance, from what billions of people might be depending on...

When I was driving buses in England. The use of a mobile phone while driving was the only other offence that would get you instantly fired. The other was being over half the legal drink drive limit.

I happen to agree with both.
very mad

Mobile phone in cars?? Haha!
Last week (in Germany) I got a 20 euro ticket for using the mobile on a bicycle.
May be, next week I get a punishing note for farting in the nature.

Hey Mr., my job is to enforce the law. What makes you think i dont respect the law? Please dont missinterpretate. Before a law is aproved there is a discussion...just like there should be here. And even when a law passes there are always people that stay not convinced.

70 years ago...black people couldnt vote...RESPECT THE LAW isnt necessarylt to agree with it!
