Hmmm in my 30years only two men has taken the first step. I almost, always make the first move, wish it wasent so, becaus i like it werry mutch when the man takes the lead.
Well, If I DO initiate it first.. Just don't get the idea that I'm desperate. Because I'm not. yada, yada.....
Sometimes we gals LIKE to take our time getting to know a person first. If we show interest first then the guys think we're hot to trot... yada, yada....
There seems to be a double standard about this... You fella's say one thing and mean another. Then it comes back to us saying to us that any thing that goes wrong is our fault, since we initiated it in the first place... yada, yada....
Hi Mette, You are from the home of the master of Quantum mechanics (Niels Bohr). Ok, From a guys point of view....Men hit on girls all the time and because of that fact women in general are sick of it. In retaliation they are usually rude or if they are polite they lie and say I already have a boyfriend or Hubby. Or they really are taken. Thus men are burnt out and give up after so many thousand tempts. However, A man will always appreciate a girls attempt on him.
I posted to your thread earlier when I was in a humorous mood...now I'm being serious mood. You're absolutely right, these days women are (as a general rule) tired of bad pick up lines and pathetic come-ons, that's why I avoid that sort of thing like the plague. As a rule, I won't flirt with a woman unless they're a friend first or at least until I've talked to them for a while. I believe that this allows them to see me as a human being instead of a "chauvanist pig." Often, the woman will show interest when I'm talking to them as a platonic friend. We all have needs, the difference is in the approach.
...And BTW, I was home schooled, dropped out of high school to keep the family business afloat. I'm not an english major, I do believe that the centers of higher learning should add some english language refresher courses so that the graduates can be taken more seriously. Your education became obvious later; before I posted, I thought you were a poseur.
