Mine is:

" THE MEDITERRANEAN AND THE MEDITERRANEAN WORLD FROM THE ROMAN EMPIRE - PHILIP II AND EXTENT OF THE OTTMAN EMPIRE "

its exciting to learn of the start in world connected economics, politics, wars, religion and society.

I would be finished with it some time now - if I would not hang in CS threads laugh

Mine is "Sir Clowdisley Shovells Disasster" in the Isles of Scilly October 1707.

The history of Admiral Shovells whose flagship along with 3 other warships were lost among the western rocks. They were returning to England after fighting the French in the Mediterranean.

Unfortunately most of the books aboard are fiction which I swap with other yachtsmen.

"the book of illusions" by Paul Auster:

Professor Zimmer, after loosing his family in a plane crash was "saved" by a comedian Hector Mann, who vanished in 1929 with no clear explanations...
Zimmer pays a tribute to Hector Mann by writting about his professional life...

I read it, then eventually saw the film - the film was good, but not as good as the story in the book - but thats what one mostly feels when reading the book first..

Fascinating, from the Romans to the Ottoman Empire! Hope it is well written that brings it all to life and not like so many others that put people to sleep!!
I'm still going with The Island Of Seven Cities by Paul Chiasson on the discoveries on Labradorin Cruins by possibly 13th Cent. or older, of Chinese who settled there...I love archeology and all its mysteries that remain unsolved.
