Actually under your present laws (and they won't change in the near future) the President doesn't need any input from ANYONE else to launch a nuclear strike by whatever means. That is why he/she is protected (by the Secret Service and Armed Forces) so well. The President has the "Football".

However having said that - Stories that have no attrbutable scource or basis in known facts do nothing towards making this a safer World. Would Bush and Chaney kill millions of civilians? Well they have shown that they will happily sacrifice thousands of their own countrymen and women ... However, would they do it knowing that there would be consequences to themselves? ... They also know that they are out of power after the next election. Even if by some miracle the Republicans won a majority again, someone would have to pay for dragging US reputation deeper than it already is. Bush and Chaney (if he could be proven complicit) would be tried as war criminals just to salvage some right to be included amongst the World leaders again.

Bush and Chaney both show classic symptoms of phycopathic behaviour but while phsycopaths have no empathy for others or concept of guilt they do have a high sense of self preservation. The best way to assure they don't launch anything is to assure them that they will be out after the next election.

It is highly unlikely that Russia and China would launch counterstikes against the USA if either Iran or North Korea were nuked. They would bring weapons back down upon themseves and both countries are too emeshed in the capitalist way of life now. Destruction of any of their emerging manufacturing industries would send them "back to the stone age" ecconomically speaking. They have had a taste of the "good life" and they won't be going back for anything less than a direct strike against their own territories. However they would be at the forefront of seeing that any US leader went on trial for war crimes at the Haige especially given the US's high moral ground in the past. Both are waiting in the wings to take over the positions that the US and Britain have occupied since the Second World War.

There is another factor to consider. Your President may not really be in charge when it is all said and done. Someone close, even within the Secret Service, may have orders to make sure the Football is never used. After all, The United States of America holds the dubious distinction of having had more leaders assasinated than any other country in the developed First World.

OK, I saw your (or at least Billy Jack's Tom Laughlin's) website. And an arguement was put forward. Even if the facts as put forward by Tom Laughlin arenot all correct it does show good reasonwhy we have to educate ourselves on candidate policy, vote and keep a tight reign on our leaders.

Ours in Australia (Johnny Howard) will be out after the next election too. His own Party are now understanding that while it was easy to follw along as he steared whereever he wanted, that in the end, lack of keeping him rational will cost them government for a very long time. Several elction cycles.

Keep asking questions, don't accept any answer because it seems to fit. Be critical of every policy. Democracy is not a duty of government ... if anything in a two party system a government's only duty is political power and that is achieved by fascism and colonialism. The propigation and nurture of democracy is the duty of the people.

You're asking questions and listening to a diverse range of answers. You will go to the polls. That's democracy.

Waldow, Thanks for sending us your sources. I can understand how you come to your conclusions but I have to disagree. The people who produce this kind of thing are doing nothnig more than pandering to fear to reach their own goals (Money)

If one were to have access to information which would lead to a story titled "Bush's top secret Penagon Plan to Invade Iran" or "How Bush Is Planning To Attack Iran", I would think they would cite some type of source. They don't because the stuff is made up.


There's a couple other little problems with the theory. The most obvious is the security level of the information. While it is true there have been leaks of information in the past, I will assure you TS doesn't get out, especially to this degree. Perhaps a less obvious reason for questioning the data provided is the tone in which it is provided. When one tells a story and it's wrought with emotion and/or name calling it smells of political and/or political agendas. Finally, from the sources quoted by you, I see none of them with any credibility what so ever. Most are "Conspiracy Theory" based writers (Note, I didn't say journalists)

Most of the other stories I found regarding this issue are in fact nothnig more than people's opinions or assessments of what might/will happen in the event of a nuclear war.

I was in this situation once, 5 guy's came in where I was working and they had Guns and they were using them...


If they would have been happy just killing me that would have been fine with me, But they had to kill everybody there, so they could rob the place and think they could get away...

I saw them coming, through The Security Monetors and I pulled out my GUN and was ready to shoot when the automatic door opened...


As soon as that door was 2 feet off the floor,they were in and SHOOTING, The other Guards Froze and they got shot
Every shot that I fired was a kill...


What I did not know at the time was that Casino Security also saw these guy's and The Door was not opened till The Police and Sherriff was in position...


Yes, I did try to kill every one of them, But those guy's looked like swiss cheesse from the back side because The Cops started Shooting as soon as Shot's were fired, as soon as my gun was empty I jumped up on the back of the Armored Car...
