I work in a nursing home too, but as a cook......I used to be on the floor. I know what you mean about heat on. Every time we bring them in the diningrooms they complain about the ac being on. I couldn't imagine wanting the heat when it's 90 outside.

i am a housekeeper so thank goodness i can find a cool spot when i need it..i think the elderly can't feel the heat,seriously.thats why they get dehydrated.

joanie.luckily i have air conditioning.of course the van air conditioning broke down but a little discomfort never hurt anyone...I must say thank goodness for Dunkin donuts iced coffee and tea...
