It is easier to find friends than to keep true ones.
Keeping friends is an exercise in patience and understanding.
Anyone who assumes that friendship is an easy path is mistaken.
It is fraught with dangers, secrets and sometimes betrayal!!

Yeah, that's why I said that with age comes experience. Older wine is more potent. Good Frienships, like fine wine come with experience.
I kinda beleive those hardships are inevitable, but it really should be easy for true friends, cause overcoming obstacles is part of life.

Friendships
I would say they are more like the vine of the rose. They grow from seeds planeted near each other. The vines entwine, touching, yet not. There are thorns, but balanced by the sweet fragrance of the blossoms, beauty is present.

My lifelong friends have been great and unwavering.
I have indeed taking them for granted as they have me.
In fact, you wouldn’t be much of a friend if you require that you don’t taken for granted.
My friends owe me nothing and I own them nothing. Friends don’t keep score.
I can’t say that I’ve ever had a ‘falling out’ with a friend.
I’ve known some people that I have tried to be friendly toward, and they have stabbed me in the back and have taken advantage of my kindness. But the bottom line is that they were never really friends to me. They were users that I offered friendship to and they basically declined by showing me complete disrespect.
I think some people are too quick to call ‘acquaintances’ friends. Friends don’t take advantage of friends. At least not in a detrimental or abusive way. A friend also won’t try to talk you into doing something that you really don’t feel good about.
I have seen people being abused by other people that they refer to as their “friends”. But in truth those people were not their friends.
So I guess the word itself can have differnet meanings to differnet people.

This is true. And you don't take advantage of the ones you love, so if a so-called 'friend' is taking advantage of you, they really aren't a friend at all.

What's the 3 things that you want most in life when you find love in your lives (Besides just settling down) and how do all these relate to each other?
For example:
The first thing I want is a life without jealousy. It only creates problems i've found. Some jealousies are justified though, I say as long as your not cheating, then I don't have any reason to be jealous. On the same token, I want a woman that wants and likes to go out with me places, likes to travel, meet new people and make friends.
Secondly I want a child to raise and call my own. Certainly not right away, but when we're ready.
And lastly, I want to find my marbles cause I must be crazy for making a post like this.
