This is literally a forum, but yes, less literally it
is a good idea to use every forum to advertise yourself
and your skills, which sound fine. Exactly what I need,
in fact, I only wish I could afford to employ you. The
only change I might suggest is that you give soms slight
hint as to the area of the country that you might prefer
should you have some preference, though that is optional, and you might also ask for advice. I have
heard much of Monster.com, but surely there are others,
and perhaps people here could recommend other services
they have used or heard of.

Thanks dpw and cutelil. I'll try that site, cute. I tried Monster and it about gagged me, maybe it's because I design websites that I particularly dislike complex websites with bad search engines. I'm simple folk. Can't I just run away into the mountains and never come out?

Okay, to stay on target, I got offered a small, simple part-time job for June-Dec, here in Ada. It will bore me to death, but leave me plenty of time to play on the net.

Nothing as exciting as what you saw above. Again - congratulations!

Maybe they call it Monster for a reason. Well, seek
alternatives. There must be counter-Monster or anti-Monster,
the competition, "We Try Harder" who try harder with an
easier interface.

Anyway, I hope the job you got offerred is good news,
and I'll congratulate you on it assuming it is. I have
feeling you are such a fine person you could do better
than a part-time job in some place I've never heard
of in Oklahoma, but that is your business, and pardon
me for even mentioning it.

Nah, it's cool, ll, you are right. The job is beneath me, and I'm definitely still looking. Anti-Monster! LMAO!

I looked, just in case, but somebody has already
registered anti-monster.com -- no website for it
though. Just a thought. Still there must be
competition for it. Now if we had Beth's system,
called The System, she was big on original names,
we could just ask it for the name of the competition
to Monster.com -- you should read the book as a
software specification, if nothing else (and a hardware
spec, actually, starting halfway through book one)
