For a 500 gr. good quality organic bread costs in Germany about 3,50 to 4,00 Euros.. Fabric mass production white bread goes for about the same .. considdering the weight. I like baking my own bread when I have time - then freeze some wave

Maltese bread is very good, and very cheap.
A load of bread which feeds four people would cost about .4 euro

But then there is available an enormous variety of bread which costs more being of the "fancy" type or slimmers' bread.

Spanish bread too is very good and very cheap, a barra or colina costs less than a euro. A loaf of my wholemeal bread with cereals costs me about 2 euros.

Spain: 1,10 for a very good pice of bread (Chapata) 30 km away from Malaga...much better prices than at the "guiri" places at the costa.

Im Denmark the price for a 500 g. good white bread is appmx. 3-4 euros. You can get cheaper bread, but then the quality drops dramatically.

I would like to know the price in Norway...must be the most expensive place of all???

Decent bread here is about 4 euros...

But then bread isn't the most expensive thing here, alcohol and sigarettes are! A bottle of wine is about 12 euros...

I bought some bread earlier on today, could the Dane please tell me, the label says "baked in Denmark, without stråforkortere".
What on earth are stråforkortere??
They were regular Håndværkere, with poppy seeds...

Well...A straaforkorter is a thing that makes the straws smaller so it is easier to harvest the corn. It is not good because it is some chemical that you spread - actually I think it is forbidden by now...
