intstead of killing the thread I find it an interesting argument Aacuacena is bringing to our attention..
Primarely I think the U.S. lives with violence on a day by day basis to extreem extend - what he wants to say perhaps - is never mind the violence you are experiencing at home - because we have no money to protect you here .. since we are busy on some wars in other parts much more violent ??.
Did Bush not wanted to stop violence against citizens .. his big promise after 9/11 - declaring war on some terrorists - lifting their image as freedom fighters instead ..and starting a war in Iraq - under the false pretext ... is it normal violence killing about 500.000 Iraqis who have just waited for his liberation of violence ???
Or does he mean by setting up CIA terror acts arround the world - they mean nothing - better get used to them - they are normal procedure for an U.S. multinational interested undemocratic Regime in controlling the worlds recources ..???

No, I did not miss "the Barricades"; they were everywhere, in one form or another...and I paid a price for climbing one in particular to plant a land-mine...ahh, but then I retreated to Biafra and that also is another episode...so was the CIA/FBI alert about Reagan, after Hinckley...another story...%D

Bush´s definition of success in violence issues is getting violence to a level that people live comfortable with it! He also said that successis not NO VIOLENCE AT ALL cause theres always violence in some or small amounts.
Now my point of view is that somehow, what he says leads to a sort of thinking that we should get comfortable with small amounts of violence just because it is always there! i thougth violence was a issue out of the list of normal ways of living.
Is this what we are supose to acknowlodge and accept just because it is out there in small amount?? I tought we as humanity are in this planet somehow to eliminate some of this things cause they are not good at all.Small leads to big...
To the coming people, our children, should it be rite to face such point of view?
It is all about the violence in Iraq but maybe he should choose other words to express the success that he wants to achieve in this war!!!!!!!!!!!
