..tell us about the mischief you got up to as a youngster...and if you ever got caught.....
One of our favourites was knocking on somebodys door then running away....we would hide behind a car/bush whatever..giggling at the disgruntled person standing at their front door....
youre cheeky missus...lol...we used to also "garden hop".which meant we would clamber over every single back garden on a whole row of houses..... ..no bacon kid...sorry....
in school we had one teacher who used to always get cream cakes from another teacher (we bet she fancied him!) and he used to eat them infront of us and say how delicious it was etc. well once we bought a cream cake and scooped the cream out, mixed it with a tonne of salt and put the creamback in the bun. well our teacher came in and started going on about how he was gonna enjoy his cake and we could just enjoy our maths and he was really hamming it up. his face when he bit into it was a picture! i still remember that! we were only 11 at the time!
..nice....these are gonna be good...... We had a history teacher named Mr Hiley...he was a bit of a square...green tweed jacket...Dark brown trousers which were halfway up his legs..bless him...and big jam jar glasses. One afternoon..me and 2 other pupils asked him for new textbooks...so as he went into the stockroom at the back of the classroom..i ran up and locked the door behind him... then darted back to my desk...the sounds of that poor mans muffled yells..and hammering on the door to let him out, still remain fresh in the mind today.....
ha - knock and run !!! ah such simple pleasure. we used to do that too Dave but my Dad lived where there were latches on gates - he told us once - said it was some of his mates, that they put a drawing pin on the latches - with dog doodie on it so, see the picture - thumb to press the gate latch, goes on drawing pin - then thumb in mouth - ouch ouch ouch scuse me while i go to the bathroom
it was one of the most silly n unthought out pranks i ever did ....but hey when i was a kid i was sutch a sodd..........now i still do them but always make sure i dont endanger peoples health.....
Well, I'm not a prankster by any stretch of the imagination, as you know!! But I used to do the knocking on doors and running away thing. We also used to go to 'phone boxes (in the days when they weren't vandalised, of course!) and call a tel. no. at random out of the 'phone book (yeah.. 'phone book!!) and ask for Mr Walls to be told there was noone of that name there, then ask for Mrs Walls to be told the same thing, etc, etc and then say "What? If there are no walls there, do ya live in a bloody field then?" and hang up! Tee hee.... Ugghhh...!! Naughty....
Yeah I remember those days........We used to call any number and ask if the water was coming in the tap, and the answer used to be "Yes" the water is coming, and we used to say......."What you expect? Coke?" to come out of a tap? ha ha hn
It was so fun to use the 6volt latern batteries... We would use two leads and attach them to the battery, and sneak behind someone and shock them in the tail and watch them jump out of their chairs....
