Does anyne have problems typing and spelling these days? (35)
Yup...same here. We just don't write by hand enough I think...every time you do it must refresh your memory. Typing just ain't the same. And then there's texting... Just a thought.

If it might be of help, try getting a spell checker for your browser.
For example for IE you can get ieSpell. Firefox has a built in spell checker.
I rarely use them, but they're helpful in the sense that you spot an error before posting.

Richard Feynman, Physics nobel winner once said: many teachers at the university come and find me and complain that students, after 4 years at Univ. they can't even write the word "friend"!! And i told them that it is the way the word is written that causes such confusion. It would be better to write words the same way we spell them. The literature and the beauty of any language wouldn't be affected by such convensions". I share Feynman's opinion.

I'm a writer, so no, my ability to "Write" is unimpaired.
However, my ability to "right" has always been an issue, since I'm left-handed.
I do believe that the SMS revolution has impaired proper spelling however. The focus is more on being understood than correct spelling and grammar.

In reply to your question, no. Its an aid, after all you can still get typos int your messages which the spell checker won't notice.
For eg. Pipe instead of Pope. A spell check won't catch that typo.

yup!! i have long nails and they get in the way, and sometimes i go too fast and leave out letters or i get dyslexic,
