Enchantment... (12)

Since I'm on about this "magic" thing... what is your favourite "fairy tale", "poetic epic", "tragic drama" or the like and why?

Is there anything within the realm of magic, mystic, metaphysics that has blown you away and would you like to share it?

If you could live in another time or another world, what would that look like... where would that be?

Ok... I'll kick this off.

Let's talk metaphysics. This exact experience has happened once to me only. It was not brought on by anything I did conciously nor have I been able to replicate it in any way but,

I was lying on my bed at a particularly stessful time in my life. I met someone online in Australia that became a spiritual "signpost" for me. My body started to tingle and I literally left my body. No... I did not look back to see myself lying on the bed but, flew... I have a poem I wrote to describe, as best I can, the experience that I had.

I've posted this before under things I've written...

My Place of You

I lay still, my eyes closed up tight
Waiting for my body to prepare for my flight
It tingles, just a little at first
Then waves upon waves, like the sea on this earth

My center of being opens to all
And “out there” begins its familiar call
I rise from this place that binds me in skin
To the heavens, well above, that started within

With the wind on my face, the ground far below
I soar in this peace, in what I know
I search for you, flying, across land and sea
I long for your arms wrapped around me

But you cannot in this place of soul
For arms are not here, something else is my goal
Our melding of spirit, our blending as one
In nothing but love, like the warmth of the sun

Your image so clear, your spirit so full
There is nothing on earth that compares to this pull
It is here that I live in the absence of you
And I wait for the day when we touch what is true

Magic world's i have a hard time relating too.

I like Earth. Seems real to me.

I'm Irish so a corse I be believing in the wee folk and all.
But seriously ,there are many more things we don't yet understand the deserve looking into.
I believe in Earth Magik and see no reson not to.
As for another time and place,I'd go back to the old days of Ireland back to the days of the castles before the darned religion wars broke out.

To answer foxy's question... Where did I go? I don't know. Where ever it was, I'd go again. I still get tingles (and no, that's not twingles),lots, but "that" has not happened again.

I don't know Pucks... sometimes the "real" world really isn't so real. At least, not what I'd like to see as real.

I love the times of King Arthur and the Goddess - of Ancient Religion... Lady of the Lake and the Land of the Mists - Avalon. Something draws me to those times... Loreena McKennitt - The Lady of Shallot - a poem by Tennyson. The days of ladies and knights, honour and chilvalry.... makes my heart swoon.

Thanks, Kenai. It used to be that I didn't speak about it much. I guess as I've aged I've realized that it doesn't matter if somethings its a whole bunch of crap or not. Those aren't the people I'm interested in reaching. It's those with similar experiences that I'm speaking to. It does happen and these things are real.

Thanks, Brew. I had no idea what it was called. I knew it was an out of body experience, but it was associated with a death of any sort.

I had a really great mentor who's aunt could move things around the room. This mentor could tell when I was in the vacinity even though he couldn't see me. I "know" things are about to happen just before they happen - I'll start getting up to grab money for the pizza guy just before the doorbell rings. I'll think of someone just before the phone rings. People smile at me for no apparent reason - my energy speaks to them I take readings off of tarot cards that come true - but I won't do them for anyone else...

The world is full of mystery, magic and mystical things. They say, you create the world you live in with what you think. I truly believe that. Negative people with negative thoughts draw more negativity to themselves.

hmm interesting.
well i would be back in the 70s.
there was much more peace,safety and trust. also items were much cheaper.

That is an awesome poem...enchanting to be sure.


I have had some incredible mind blowing experiences too, life changing days. ...even recently!

...you just never know what a day holds for you!
