Me too! One of my favourites was when I could finally afford to put my youngest son in hockey.

He was one of those kids that would drag his meagre hockey "stuff" down to the local outside rink (a couple of blocks) in all kinds of inclement weather and stay there till they closed.

The look on his face when I told him we were going to register for hockey is one of the greatest highlights of my life... his eyes were absolutely brilliant with spirit. I was likely matched by the look on my face when I was informaed that he wanted to be a goalie!!! rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

I used to be terrified of dogs....was bit as a child and god always afraid after that even little ones....a few years ago my best friend adopted a greyhound/rescue dog from New Hampshire....he was a broken wounded spirit with a broken crooked tail from it getting slammed in the racing gate...ANYHOW..he was fearful of everthing and I was fearful of him...he's a BIG BOY!! anyhow...through getting to know and trust one another I overcame my fear of dogs..he began to trust..and my happiest moment with him was the day he first wagged his tail when I called him..he had never wagged his tail before...and I just burst into tears because it meant he was happy to see me...and was trusting enough to express it....I tell you ..some might think that silly ..but both he and I changed that daywave kiss applause

Kids will do it to u every time.Even though I try to mail her to Abu Dhabi on a regular basislaugh the greatest joy I get is when my daughter looks at me and simply says'I love you mommy' with a smile.
Another moment of joy is the first time you look in someones eyes and see that you r loved totally and completely and u can truely feel and believe it without hesitation.

My ex emailed me pictures from years ago. One was me and my 3 year old daughter just sitting in a restaurent at a booth. Another was my son who was 2 looking up at me and smiling. They are 37 and 28 now. Wow, was all I could think when I saw those pics. It reminded me of a time in my life when I had a life. Oh, to go back and try it again....crying

I remember leaving the hospital the day my first son was born. I was positively glowing.

Now both my boys tell me that they love me past the farthest star at bedtime. Watching my little ones sleep so peacefully is my reward.

thumbs up

So cool, and I do remember. I just said I'd love to go back and try it again. What I'm thinking now is it was so good of her to send me those pictures to bring back the memories that you're enjoying now. Life is a strange journey with a lot of hills and valleys. Nice cars, lovely vacations, beautiful homes and many love interests. At the end of the journey, when we look back and think about the best memories, it's always the simple moments with your children that beat out any million dollar mansion you might have had the good fortune to live in. The richest person or the poorest person can have the same 'best moments'

amen

Now let's have another beerdrinking

I got caught by that sleeping peacefully, once! My fist son at about 3 months or so had that look... I just had to pick him up. WRONG!!!! He was so miserable cause I woke him up and it took many hours to get him back to sleep. Good lesson that was - leave sleeping babies lie!! professor

In the winter, taking my son with me when I go skiing and he snowboards.

In the summer, watching him on a slalom water ski is very special. He's getting so good and he loves it.

Last evening we threw a football around for about an hour and then went for a bike ride around Kempenfelt Bay in downtown Barrie.

Was fun.

It's getting hard to get him to do things with me because he's very social with his own circle of friends.

Dad's great when he needs something. Otherwise get out of his face. roll eyes
